PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear School Community,

The first four weeks have passed in this final term of the year. There are a few things I would like to share with you.

This term, we have started with a full range of sporting activities which the students benefit from greatly. Interschool Sports was held in the first week. We had our annual Athletics Day on October 18th. I would like to thank all the participants, teachers and the volunteering parents for their support. IN addition, with the support of Melbourne City Football Club, Year 4 and 5 students enjoyed soccer clinics for the past three weeks. Moreover, upper primary will have AFL trainings on Thursdays during lunch times starting from next week. I am confident that these activities provide an opportunity for our students to show their talents and improve certain skills and values such as taking responsibility, working as a team and communication.

We organised our annual Book Fair with Scholastic ending last week. The aim is to make the students read a variety of books of their choice. I would like to thank Miss Height and Mrs. Engin for their contribution to the book fair. I hope the students who purchased books are enjoying reading them.

We are still receiving new enrolments for 2020. I would like to thank our school parents and the wider community for their continuous support. If you know anyone who is interested to know about our school, please share our school contact details with them. We will be happy to give them a school tour. I also want to remind you that Foundation transition will take place in two days on November 12th and 19th from 9 am to 11 am. We are looking forward to meeting our new Foundation students.

Before the year ends, we are also organising a small graduation ceremony for our Foundation class. Please join us to celebrate their success on Friday, November 29th at 2:30 pm at school.

As the term ends soon, I urge all of our students to work hard for the final assessments. I believe there is no substitution for hard work and students who work hard will be successful sooner or later in their lives.

Yours Faithfully,
Mr. Adem Engin
Principal
